Studio Membrane

Studio Membrane is the soft, cushioned sound of a membrane keyboard — the kind of muffled, low-key press you'd type on without disturbing anyone. Each keystroke is short and padded, with a rounded thud instead of a click and almost no high-end ring, then a gentle release as the key returns, since KeyEcho maps separate press and release samples. Small variations between keystrokes keep repeated keys from sounding identical. Recorded in 48kHz stereo, lossless, across all 103 keys, and sampled from the open-source Sony Keyboard Sound Dataset. Ideal for open-plan offices, quiet calls and late-night typing. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Sony.
