The app never reads what you type
The KeyEcho desktop app handles keyboard events locally, on your machine. It reacts to the fact that a key went down so it can play a sound — it does not collect, store, or transmit the content of what you type. Nothing you type leaves your computer.
Product analytics on this website
The website uses PostHog to count page views and see which packs get opened and which checkouts complete. Session replay is enabled, so interactions on these pages — clicks, scrolls, page changes — can be replayed to find broken flows. This covers the website only, never the desktop app.
Advertising tags
When advertising is running, the site also loads a Google conversion tag so we can tell which campaign led to a purchase. It loads only when the matching account ID is configured; with no campaign running, no ad tag is loaded.
Payments
Stripe processes every payment. Card details go straight to Stripe — KeyEcho never sees or stores your card number. What comes back to us is the payment status, the email you used, and which packs you bought.
Your email address
Your email is used to deliver your license key and to resend it whenever you ask. If you explicitly subscribed to pack updates, it is also used for that — one click unsubscribes. It is used for nothing else.
We do not sell your data
KeyEcho does not sell, rent, or trade personal data. It is shared only with the services that make the product work — Stripe for payments, PostHog for analytics, our email provider for license delivery, and the ad platforms above while a campaign is running.
Access and deletion
Write to us from the address you used and we will send you what is on file for it, or delete it. Payment records held by Stripe follow Stripe’s own retention rules, which we cannot shorten.
